The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team, hereinafter referred to as CAT, received numerous complaints about drug activity taking place in and around a residence on the 6000 Block of Steve Street in Salisbury, Maryland.
The primary resident was identified as Michelle Leigh Moore. After a lengthy and thorough investigation, a Search and Seizure Warrant was authored for Moore’s residence on Steve Street in Salisbury, MD.
On July 22, 2021, detectives established surveillance on the residence and Moore was observed pulling into the driveway.
Detectives approached Moore and placed her under investigative detention while the Search and Seizure Warrant was being executed.
Prior to being detained, Moore attempted to discard a bag containing a felony amount of crack cocaine on the ground. Detectives conducted a thorough and systematic search of the residence and located a plethora of Controlled Dangerous Substance accoutrements related to using and distributing heroin and crack cocaine.
Detectives also located 12 Alprazolam pills, 3 digital scales, crack cocaine manufacturing equipment, a large number of syringes, packaging material, and other drug paraphernalia.
It is evident that due to the investigation and evidence recovered during the execution of the Search and Seizure Warrant, that Moore was maintaining her residence as a place for drugs to be sold and for people to use drugs.
Moore was arrested and transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center where she is currently held without bond.
Moore has been charged with the following:
- Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
- Possession with intent to distribute Alprazolam
- Possession of Manufacturing equipment (2 counts)
- Maintaining a common Nuisance, Distribution (2 counts)
- Maintaining a common Nuisance, Administer (3 counts)
- Possession of crack cocaine
- Possession of heroin
- Possession of Alprazolam
