Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Needs Your Help Locating Two Robbery Subjects

Mardela Springs, MD – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in location two robbery suspects.

On July 24, 2022, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Goose Creek Convenience Store in Mardela Springs, Maryland, for a report of a strong-armed robbery.

Patrol Deputies handled the initial report and then the Criminal Investigation Division assumed the investigation. It was determined through investigation that Ivan Conaway entered the store, asked for a carton of Newport Cigarettes.

While the clerk placed the cigarettes on the counter, Conaway smacked the clerk’s hand off of the cigarettes, grabbed the cigarettes, and fled the store. The store clerk received minor injuries to her wrist as a result of the incident.

It was determined that Conaway got into a vehicle being driven by Michael Robinson, and they both fled the area in the vehicle.

A detective from the Criminal Investigation Division completed an application for charges and submitted it to the District Court Commissioner. The District Court Commissioner issued a criminal summons for both subjects for the charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The criminal summons’ were unable to be served on either of these Robbery Suspects, so they were returned to the court, and arrest warrants were issued.

Both Conaway and Robinson are wanted for robbery at this time. The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the public’s help in locating both subjects.

Those individuals mentioned in this news brief are charged with a crime and are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
