Salisbury, MD – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team (CAT) recently conducted an investigation into a suspect, Bilal Akram, distributing cocaine from his residence, which was located in the 7800 block of Bennett Park Drive in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland.
On February 16, 2023, Akram was arrested for possession of cocaine, that stemmed from a traffic stop where he was leaving a residence. The Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team (SERT) served a search and seizure warrant at the residence and located Linda Anderton inside.
A search of the residence revealed 110.9 grams of compressed cocaine and 10.72 grams of crack cocaine in seven (7) individual bags.
Additionally, a small bag of carfentanil, digital scales, and packaging material was located in the residence.
Additional residents, April Prior and Taysha Maddox, were stopped leaving the residence just prior to the search warrant but were released.



Akram was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, (2) counts of possession not-marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of narcotic production equipment. Akram was released the following day on an unsecured bond.
An application for charges was completed that resulted in arrest warrants being issued for April Prior, Taysha Maddox, and Linda Anderton. Anderton and Maddox were both served with arrest warrants. Prior is actively wanted for an arrest warrant for this investigation as well as two additional warrants.
Maddox was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, (2) counts of possession not-marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of narcotic production equipment, and possession of paraphernalia. Maddox was served with the arrest warrant on March 1, 2023, and later released on an unsecured bond on March 2, 2023. Maddox was later arrested on an additional warrant, and she is held without bond.
Anderton was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession not marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of narcotic production equipment. Anderton was served with the arrest warrant on March 1, 2023, and later released on an unsecured bond on March 2, 2023.
