Salisbury, MD – Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas “Bunky” Luffman, Jr. to the Director of Administration. He was confirmed on January 3, 2023.
Mr. Luffman began working at Wicomico County after serving as the Director of Legislation and Constituent Service at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Before that he was Intergovernmental Affairs Representative for the Office of the Governor among other State of Maryland positions. Mr. Luffman earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He is also a Fellow at the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance, University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
In earlier years Mr. Luffman was a Constituent Liaison in the office of Congressman Andy Harris, served as Deputy Mayor for the Town of Delmar, Chairman of Delmar’s Planning and Zoning Commission, and previously worked for the City of Salisbury as a Water and Wastewater Operator.
Mr. Luffman is a native of Wicomico County and a graduate of Delmar High School. He has built a career in public service, working in local, state, and federal government along the way.
