Salisbury, MD – On Friday, January 20, 2023, at approximately 9;54 AM, Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Division were advised of a note being located inside Parkside High School with a threatening message.
Deputies worked collaboratively with Wicomico County Public Schools personnel to make sure the school was safe and no harm would come to students or staff.
The threat that occurred to the school created a large area of concern for students, staff, and the community.
The threat caused a safety response that disrupted most of the school day.
Through an extensive collaborative investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as a 15-year-old male student of Parkside High School.
Due to the subject’s age, a Juvenile Referral was completed, and the juvenile was released to the custody of their guardian pending disposition by the Department of Juvenile Services.
The recommended charges were as follows:

- School: Disturb Operation
- Disorderly Conduct
- Disturb the Peace/Disorderly
