Wicomico County, MD – On March 3, 2023, the Honorable Karen M. Dean, Associate Judge of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, sentenced Reginald Wallace, aged 60, to an active sentence of thirty-five (35) years of incarceration in the Division of Corrections. Wallace previously pleaded guilty on November 16, 2022, to Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Sexual Offense in the Third Degree, and two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, and sentencing was deferred pending completion of a pre-sentence investigation and mental health assessment.
Following his active sentence, Reginald Wallace will be on five (5) years of supervised probation and will be subject to ten (10) years of incarceration should he violate probation.
From September of 2019 through November of 2021, Wallace sexually abused a minor child who was between 13 and 15 years of age at the time of the offenses. Wallace likewise physically abused two minor children in the same household, who were between 5 and 10 years of age.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney (SA) Jamie L. Dykes commended Det. D. Schultz of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, who was the lead investigator, and Child Protective Services for their work in the investigation. SA Dykes also commended Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Diane Karsnitz and Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Calabrese, who prosecuted the case.
