Salisbury, Maryland-The Mayor's Office has received a couple of inquiries from residents concerned about digging in their neighborhood. This turned out to be connected to Glo Fiber's running of Fiber Optic Cable throughout the Salisbury metro area.

Glo, part of Shenandoah Telecommunications Company, signed an agreement with the City of Salisbury in 2022 to provide more than 11,000 homes with an alternative to Comcast for television and high-speed internet services. In March 2022, Glo announced the deal publicly.

Work began in 2023 and was expected to last 18 to 24 months. In March of 2024, Glo began marketing services in select areas of Salisbury where work had already taken place. They will continue to work their way around the City.
