WOR-WIC HOLDS 22ND ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Salisbury, MD - Wor-Wic Community College recently held its 22nd annual golf tournament at the college's Ocean Resorts Golf Club in Berlin. Proceeds from the tournament totaled $39,000 and will support the educational needs of Wor-Wic students.
This year's top team with the lowest gross score was the Avery Hall Insurance team of John Hooker, Kris Hooker, Shayne Ray and Ben Smith, followed by the Integra team of Mike Chupp, Eddie Downes, Kris Smith and Chris Theis. Third place went to the Holloway team of Bruce Bratten, John Holloway, Vic Rayne and Greg Thompson.
The top team with the lowest net score was the PKS team of Ken Kirchner, Michael Kleger, Cindy Kleger and Nick Pusey, followed by the Pohanka team of Phillip Fenstermaker, Aaron Guy, Dale Kind and Andrew Todd. Third place in net went to the Combined Benefits Group team of Dale Cropper, Stephen Hartstein, Ben Klinger and Brian Shockley.
Longest drive winners were Cindy Kleger and Ben Smith. Winners of the putting contest were Hank Fisher, Bill McCain and Renee Sheehy. Closest to the pin prizes were awarded to Ross Bergey, Dale Cropper, Brian Shockley and Rick Ward.
