WOMAN ARRESTED IN CAMBRIDGE FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND DRUG POSSESSION

Cambridge, MD - On March 10, 2025, a 24-year-old woman from Cambridge was arrested following an incident involving the malicious destruction of property and the discovery of cocaine in her possession, according to a report from the Cambridge Police Department.


Police responded to a call about malicious destruction of property in progress at a residence on the 300 block of Bunker Street shortly after 11:05 PM. Officers received a description of the suspect and her associated address while en route to the scene.


Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect, identified as Tyresha Shawnece Hewitt, leaving the area in front of the victim's residence. When approached, Hewitt fled the scene on foot, leading officers on a chase that ended in the 400 block of Cedar Street, where she was apprehended.


Hewitt was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and her initial appearance before a Court Commissioner. During the arrest, a search revealed that she was in possession of cocaine.


Hewitt was later released on $7,500.00 unsecured bond.

- Disturbing the Peace

- Failure to Obey Lawful Order

- Harassment

- Trespass Private Property

- Obstruct and Hinder

- Malicious Destruction of Property (3 counts)

- CDS Possession Not Cannabis
