WILLARDS LIONS CLUB RECEIVES PROCLAMATION FROM COUNTY EXECUTIVE JULIE GIORDANO FOR 75 YEARS OF SERVICE
Willards, MD - On Tuesday evening, May 28, 2024, the Willards Lions Club received a long-deserved proclamation for 75 years of service to the community from Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano.
The Lions Club has been a cornerstone of the Willards community and Wicomico County, and has been devoted to serving our area for over seven decades.
The recognition of their hard work and continued commitment was brought to light a few weeks ago during an awards ceremony attended by Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano.
Giordano learned about the Lions Club's milestone and their previously unfulfilled requests for a proclamation from the Wicomico County Council. Giordano took it upon herself to honor their dedication and service from the Wicomico County Executive's Office by issuing a proclamation to the Willards Lions Club.
At the proclamation ceremony, the club members were all smiles, exuding happiness, proud of their immense achievements, and grateful for the recognition. Lion Dennis expressed profound gratitude to County Executive Giordano for recognizing the Lions Club's service to the community.
The 75-year proclamation represents a small token of appreciation for a legacy of selfless service. The Willards Lions Club has set a shining example of community spirit and resilience. It shows that community organizations, like the Lions Club, play an indispensable role in local development and well-being.
