WICOMICO REC & PARKS OFFERS YOUTH SPRING SPORTS PROGRAMS

Salisbury, MD - It's that time of the year again as spring ushers in a fresh season of youth sports at Wicomico Recreation & Parks. Young members of the community are invited to participate in an array of exciting activities, including flag football, soccer, softball, basketball, and golf.

The popular NFL FLAG football program will once again grace Wicomico County this spring. The beauty of this program lies in its no-contact nature, offering children of all skill levels an opportunity to learn and enhance their football skills in an inclusive and uplifting environment. This program is priced at $65 per participant.

Adding to the line-up is the FUNdamental Soccer program catering to U7-U11 divisions. Over a span of six weeks, children will sharpen their soccer skills through a range of age-specific drills and games. The program fee is $50 per participant and includes a complimentary soccer ball.

Girls aged 4 to 16 years are welcome to join the Junior Girls Softball league, specially designed to accommodate players of all experience levels. The registration fee varies from $60 to $70 depending upon the league level. Free drop-in clinics are available for all ages.

The WYBL Skills Academy also makes its much-anticipated comeback this spring. From basic dribbling to shooting, young basketball enthusiasts will learn fundamental basketball skills in an enjoyable and stress-free environment.

The first session of the academy commences on April 8, followed by the second session on May 6. The program fee stands at $60 per participant.

Golf enthusiasts aged between 8 and 18 can also look forward to the six-week Junior Eastern Shore Golf League. Through instruction and competition at local golf courses, these young golfers will receive guidance in a fun and friendly setting. The league registration fee is $55 per person, with an additional $5 due at the course.
