Wicomico County, MD-Get ready to dust off those costumes and set the night ablaze with fun and excitement! Wicomico County Recreation & Parks is thrilled to announce a brand new Halloween event called the Batty Bonfire!

This free, family-friendly event will captivate the hearts of both young and old. So come along and join in on the fun on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the beautiful Pemberton Park in Salisbury, Maryland. The Batty Bonfire promises to provide an enchanting atmosphere for everyone to unwind and enjoy the spirit of Halloween.

Setting the night with excitement is the much-anticipated costume contest! We encourage everyone to showcase their creativity and personality.

Registration will be available on-site, and the contest is split into several categories: Best Group, Best Solo, Most Creative, Best Homemade, and Funniest. We can't wait to be dazzled by your costumes, just remember to keep them family-friendly!

Exciting crafts are planned for the kids to keep their little fingers busy throughout the night. Adding flavor to the evening is live music by The Folk Villains. Their beats will surely get your feet tapping and your hearts racing.

We should not forget the vendors, Grass Roots Rescue and Bell Grove Tea Co., who will be present to offer their unique produce and services.

Food vendors like Le Daisey's Smokehouse and Eastern Shore Kettle Korn will also be there.

And what is a bonfire without S'mores? You will have an opportunity to make your own. We will also serve hot chocolate to warm you up as you bask in the bonfire's glow.
