TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO DECEMBER HOMICIDE IN ACCOMACK COUNTY

Accomack County, VA - On March 28, 2025, indictments were issued for two individuals in connection to a homicide that took place in Accomack County, Virginia, on December 15, 2024. The arrests were made on April 2, 2025, following an ongoing investigation.


Arrest Details  

The individuals arrested and their respective charges are as follows:

  • Ceonta Jamar Kellam, 34, of Machipongo, Virginia, has been charged with:
    • First Degree Murder  
    • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony  
    • Burning or Destroying Personal Property  
    • Willfully Concealing Physical Evidence  
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Violent Felon  
  • Destiny Monique Taylor, 26, of New Church, Virginia, has been charged with:
    • Accessory After the Fact in the Commission of Felony Murder  
    • Accessory After the Fact in the Commission of Felony Arson  
    • Willfully Concealing Physical Evidence  


The investigation and subsequent arrests involved the collaborative efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Accomack County Sheriff's Office, Northampton County Sheriff's Office, Virginia State Police, Homeland Security Investigations (Norfolk), and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
