TWO PEOPLE SHOT IN A THURSDAY AFTERNOON SHOOTING IN CAMBRIDGE
Cambridge, MD-On July 11, 2024, at approximately 2:49 p.m., Cambridge Police Officers responded to Corner Market Exxon, located at the corner of Rt 16 (Church Creek Rd) and Stone Boundary Rd, for a report of shots fired. While officers were en route, information was relayed that a white vehicle was observed leaving the area at a fast rate of speed.
Further information was relayed that two (2) shooting victims had arrived at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Cambridge, Maryland.
Cambridge Police Officers and Dorchester County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to both locations. Officers at the scene of the shooting located evidence related to the shooting.
Officers and Cambridge Police Detectives responded to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, where a 19-year-old male and a 20-year-old male, both from Cambridge, Maryland, were being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The white vehicle was also located with damage from the shooting. Through investigation, it appears that this was a targeted shooting.
