TWO BROTHERS ARRESTED FOR ARREST WARRANTS IN LAUREL DELAWARE
Laurel, DE-A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of two Laurel men with outstanding felony warrants. The incident unfolded in the early morning hours of March 26, 2024, at around 4:14 a.m. A Laurel Police Department Officer noticed a warrant flag on a vehicle's registration near Sussex Highway and Waller Road.
The vehicle's driver was identified as Kevin M Fields, 52, of Laurel, DE, who was found to have an outstanding felony warrant issued by a neighboring agency. Fields was taken into custody without issue.
In an attempt to avoid the inconvenience of having his vehicle towed, the officer allowed Fields to arrange for someone to pick it up. The person who arrived on the scene was identified as Keith A Fields, 65, the brother of Kevin Fields.
After conducting a standard license check, it was revealed that Keith was also being sought on an outstanding felony warrant from the same agency and in connection with the same case as his brother, Kevin Fields.
Subsequently, both brothers were taken into custody, and the vehicle was towed to avoid potentially introducing a third wanted subject to the scene. Following their arrest, the brothers were taken to the agency that had issued the felony warrants for processing, where both subjects were released on their own recognizance.
