TRAGIC SCOOTER COLLISION CLAIMS THE LIFE OF SALISBURY WOMAN
Salisbury, MD - Tragedy has struck the Salisbury, Maryland community as a motor vehicle crash involving a scooter, left one person deceased. The crash happened on February 12, 2024, in Salisbury, Maryland, around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of E. Salisbury Pkwy (Route 50) and Tilghman Road.
According to the Salisbury Police Department, they responded to the accident scene where they found a vehicle had collided with a scooter. Salisbury Fire Department Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were already on the scene and providing urgent care to the operator of the scooter.
The initial investigation revealed that the victim, identified as 28-year-old Christiana McDuffie of Salisbury, Maryland, was operating the scooter and attempting to cross the intersection, when she was hit by a 2016 Subaru Outback. Ms. McDuffie tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene and was pronounced deceased by Salisbury Fire Department EMS officials.
The Subaru Outback, traveling eastbound on E. Salisbury Parkway at the time, was being operated by a solo motorist, who did not require medical attention following the accident.
