THURSDAY APARTMENT FIRE IN SALISBURY RULED ACCIDENTAL DUE TO COOKING

Salisbury, MD - On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at approximately 2:08 PM, firefighters from the Salisbury Fire Department were dispatched to the 200 block of Dykes Road in Salisbury, Maryland, for a reported apartment fire.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters observed that the fire was contained in the kitchen area and was determined to be accidental, caused by cooking.

Both smoke alarms and fire sprinkler systems were in place, and a single fire sprinkler head extinguished the fire.

The estimated amount of damage caused by the fire was $2,500.00.
