THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH HOME INVASION IN CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge, MD - On January 17, 2025, at approximately 12:05 pm, the Cambridge Police Department was called to a residence in the 400 block of Skinners Court in Cambridge, Maryland.
Responding to an assault report, they arrived to find two victims who were the victims of a home invasion.
According to the victims, a group of individuals arrived at their home searching for one of the residents. That particular individual was not at the location at that time.
When one of the residents attempted to close the door, they were assaulted. They were struck from behind and then the three members of the group forced their way into the residence, continuing their assault on the first victim, and subsequently on the second victim.
The trio also inflicted damage to property within the home.
Before the police arrived, the suspects had left the scene on foot.
The victims were able to provide the officers with descriptions of the suspects and an indicated direction of travel for the assailants.
Based on this information, a lookout was provided to officers in the area.
A short time later, officers were able to locate the three suspects in the vicinity of Park Lane and Clinton Street in Cambridge, Maryland.
The trio was positively identified and subsequently arrested for their crimes (listed below). They were transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and made initial appearances before being transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.
All three of the suspects are being held without bond.
The suspects were identified as follows:
- Tamesha Lanice Johnson, a 23-year-old from Cambridge, MD
- Michelle Tynisha Jones, a 34-year-old, also from Cambridge
- Wilson Hawthorne Wheatley, a 25-year-old from Cambridge.
All three suspects were charged with the following:
- Home Invasion
- Assault 1st Degree
- Assault 2nd Degree
- Burglary 3rd Degree
- Burglary 4th Degree
- Malicious Destruction of Property
Jones was also found to have an active Warrant out of Sussex County DE for Violation of Probation for an Assault.
