THOMAS BARR ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY SHOOING MAN OVER TRESPASSING DISPUTE
Federalsburg, MD - On Sept. 24, 2023, at around 1:30 a.m., Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to the 28000 block of Bloomery Road in Federalsburg, Maryland for a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The suspect, Thomas Barr, fired two rifle rounds at the victim because of a trespassing dispute.
Barr is reportedly prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.
The victim sustained one gunshot wound to the chest and was provided medical care on scene. The victim was transported to Nanticoke Hospital and later to the Christiana Hospital for further treatment.
At this time the victim is listed in serious but stable condition.
Thomas Barr is facing the following charges:
- Second Degree Murder
- Reckless Endangerment
- Assault First Degree
- Assault Second Degree
- Using a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of Rifle By A Prohibited Person
- Possession of Ammunition By A Prohibited Person
Barr is being held without bond at Caroline County Detention Center.
