THE OCEAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT WELCOMES NEWEST K9
Ocean City, MD - They say when one door closes, another opens. The Ocean City Police Department would like to introduce their newest member of the K9 Unit, K9 Finn.
Originally hailing from the Czech Republic, K9 Finn was born on September 15, 2022. Finn is an energetic one-year-old Belgian Malinois. He will be partnering up with Police Officer First Class Patrick Schob. PFC Schob has been a member of the Ocean City Police Department since July 2018, serving on the Traffic Safety Unit for the past three years.
PFC Schob and K9 Finn have spent the last six weeks in training at Shallow Creek Kennels located in Pennsylvania. There they were both well-trained in patrol and narcotics detection techniques. K9 Finn has received certification from the North American Police Work Dog Association and is now fully prepared for duty.
Together, these two have fostered a strong bond built on trust and mutual respect. They are committed to enforcing the law and ensuring the safety of the Town of Ocean City community.
