TERRANCE PINKETT SENTENCED TO 20-YEARS OF ACTIVE INCARCERATION FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND SECOND DEGREE SEXUAL OFFENSE

Wicomico County, MD - On April 4, 2025, Terrance Pinkett of Lansdale, PA, was sentenced to 20 years of active incarceration by the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, as announced by Judge S. James Sarbanes.


Pinkett, 54 years old, had previously pleaded guilty to charges of Child Sexual Abuse and Second-Degree Sexual Offense on November 15, 2024. The sentencing followed a thorough pre-sentence investigation and mental health assessment.


After serving his prison term, Pinkett will be subject to five years of supervised probation with strict conditions, including a prohibition on contact with minors. If he violates these terms, he could face an additional 15 years in prison.


The case dates back to 1988 when Pinkett sexually abused a child under the age of 9 who was in his care.


Wicomico County State's Attorney Jamie L. Dykes emphasized the importance of accountability, stating that time does not diminish the effects of these crimes on survivors. Dykes praised the bravery of the survivor for coming forward and acknowledged the diligent investigation conducted by the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center that led to the court's decision.


The lead investigator for the case was Sergeant J. Seichepine of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, along with other committed members of the Child Advocacy Center.


Additionally, Senior Assistant State's Attorney Michael Calabrese was recognized for his efforts in prosecuting the case and ensuring justice was served.
