Talbot County, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office has made significant progress in addressing a recent series of vehicle break-ins and thefts. In the La Trappe Heights community in Trappe, Maryland, several incidents occurred early on the morning of December 30, 2024, with unsuspecting vehicle owners falling victim to theft.

Eighteen-year-olds Nihjay T. Greene and Aamad A. Turner, both residents of Trappe, Maryland, along with a 16-year-old juvenile, were arrested in connection with these crimes.

Greene faces multiple charges, including Second Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Burglary in the Fourth Degree.

Turner has been charged with similar offenses, while the underage suspect has been referred to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.

The deputies acted promptly after receiving a report of an attempted vehicle break-in on Seymour Drive. Further investigation revealed that the trio was linked to several other theft attempts within the same neighborhood.

Their arrests unfolded when a vigilant citizen reported suspicious activity involving three young males dressed in black clothing and wearing masks in Harrison Circle. Thanks to the swift intervention of the deputies, the suspects were apprehended after fleeing on foot and barricading themselves inside a house on Main Street.

During the arrest, Greene allegedly assaulted a deputy; fortunately, no deputies were injured. After the arrests, the Talbot County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division obtained a search warrant and discovered evidence connecting the trio to the reported thefts.

Following their arrests, Greene and Turner were taken to the Talbot County Central Booking Facility. Both suspects had bail reviews before a District Court judge on December 31, 2024. Greene was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond, while Turner was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

This investigation was a collaborative effort, with assistance from the Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit. The local community is encouraged to come forward with any additional information by calling 410-822-1020.
