SUSPECT EXTRADITED FROM PHILADELPHIA BACK TO MILFORD DELAWARE FOR CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED MURDER

Milford, DE - On February 28th, 2025, 37-year-old Derrick Legree of Milford, DE, was formally brought back to Delaware from Philadelphia, PA, where he will face murder charges. This extradition was successfully executed with the collaborative efforts of the Delaware Department of Justice.
Legree is charged for his alleged involvement in an attempted murder case that unfolded on November 3rd, 2024. Legree has been charged with several serious offenses to include Attempted Murder in the 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
All of these are felony charges. Legree made his initial court appearance through the Justice of the Peace Court 2. He was subsequently held by the Department of Corrections on a cash bond amounting to $622,000.00.
A further cash bond of $25,000 was added due to an active Violation of Probation.
The court also ruled for no contact orders to be established between Legree and the victims involved in this investigation. This ruling is in place to protect the identities and safety of the victims during this ongoing legal process.
