SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF THREE SUBJECTS IN MILLSBORO, DELAWARE
Millsboro, DE - On Friday, March 28, 2025, Delaware State Police arrested three men following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Millsboro. The operation, conducted by the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and Troop 4 Property Crimes Unit, uncovered illegal drugs, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia.
The search warrant targeted a residence on the 27000 block of Clover Lane and stemmed from a drug and theft investigation involving 45-year-old Jason Wilz. Upon executing the warrant, law enforcement encountered resistance as a woman locked the door.
Additionally, 19-year-old Xavier Gibbs attempted to flee through a back door but was quickly apprehended. A total of six individuals were detained on the property, including Wilz, Gibbs, and 23-year-old Brandon Gibbs.

During the search, detectives uncovered the following:
- A loaded .22 caliber handgun
- Approximately 2.31 grams of heroin
- Approximately 2.69 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 1.40 grams of crack cocaine
- A digital scale
- Drug paraphernalia
All three suspects were taken into custody and charged with numerous offenses.
Jason Wilz
Wilz, 45, was charged with several felonies, including:
- Operating a Clandestine Laboratory
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (3 counts)
- Maintaining a Drug Property
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
- Additional charges related to theft from construction sites in March 2025
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $35,000 secured bond.
Xavier Gibbs
Gibbs, 19, was charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $33,000 cash bond.
Brandon Gibbs
Brandon Gibbs, 23, was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (3 counts)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (3 counts)
He was also arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $30,500 cash bond.
