SEAFORD POLICE ARREST MAN FOR STABBING
Seaford, DE - The Seaford Police Department responded to Tidal Health Nanticoke in reference to a victim arriving with a serious stab wound. After being stabilized, the victim was transferred to another hospital where they were initially listed in critical condition. The victim has since been upgraded to stable condition.
The investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a residence on the 700 Block of Collins Ave in Seaford, DE when an altercation broke out with the defendant, Fernandez Bolden, 54, of Seaford, DE.
During the altercation, it is alleged that Bolden grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim. The defendant then fled the scene.
Within a couple of hours, investigators were able to locate the defendant at a residence on Grace Circle in Seaford, Delaware. Surveillance was kept on the defendant until an arrest warrant was obtained.
After the warrant was obtained members of the Seaford Police Department, assisted by a Bridgeville Police Department K9 and the Delaware State Police responded to the residence and took the defendant into custody without incident.
The defendant was charged with Assault 1st Degree and was turned over to the Department of Corrections for lack of $20,000 cash bond.
