SEAFORD POLICE ARREST MAN FOR HIS 7TH DUI OFFENSE

Seaford, DE - On February 19, 2025, the Seaford Police Department arrested a local man, William Terry, 60, on charges related to driving under the influence. This marks the seventh time Terry, a resident of Bridgeville, Delaware, has been arrested on DUI charges.
The events leading to the arrest initiated with a computer registration check of a vehicle moving north on Bridgeville Hwy. The check generated a flag which revealed that Terry, the owner of the vehicle, had an active warrant with the Georgetown Police Department. Following these findings, a traffic stop was executed.
Upon the stop, it was confirmed that the driver was, indeed, Terry. After being arrested, the officer identified signs that Terry may have been under the influence of alcohol. This suspicion led to further investigation which culminated in Terry being taken into custody.
Along with the seventh offense DUI, Terry was also charged with driving with an expired license and violating his learner's permit conditions.
Following his arrest, Terry was taken to the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was subsequently committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on a cash bail amounting to $50,101.00.
In addition to these charges, Terry also faced active charges from Georgetown PD.
