Millville, DE - The Delaware State Police arrested 46-year-old Charles Graves of Seaford, Delaware, for felony DUI, marking his fifth offense.

On January 24, 2025, at approximately 5:47 p.m., troopers responded to a call reporting a vehicle parked on a sidewalk in the 35000 block of Atlantic Avenue in Millville, Delaware.

Upon arrival, the troopers found a Chevrolet Silverado parked on the sidewalk, with Graves asleep at the wheel. The circumstances suggested possible substance abuse, prompting the troopers to engage with him.

During this interaction, Graves exhibited signs of impairment. Consequently, the troopers administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

The results indicated that Graves was unfit to drive, leading to his arrest for driving under the influence. A subsequent computer check revealed that Graves had four prior DUI convictions, further escalating the seriousness of the situation.

Additionally, during a search of Graves' truck, the troopers discovered drug paraphernalia.

After the arrest, Graves was taken to Troop 4, where he was formally charged. He was then arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3.

Following the legal procedures, Graves was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution with a cash bond set at $5,200.

The charges against Graves include fifth offense DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
