SEAFORD MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED MENACING

Seaford, DE - Delaware State Police arrested 78-year-old Delbert Watkins of Seaford, Delaware, for aggravated menacing and other charges on Wednesday evening.


On June 12, 2024, at approximately 7:42 p.m., troopers from the Delaware State Police responded to an aggravated menacing call on Squirrel Lane in Seaford. Delaware.


When troopers arrived, they learned that the victim was involved in an argument with the suspect, identified as Delbert Wilkins.


During the argument, Watkins pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him. When the incident happened, two children were with the victim, and no one was hurt.


Watkins was arrested and taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $17,000 secured bond.
