SATURDAY AFTERNOON FIRE IN EASTON IS UNDER INVESTIGATION
Easton, MD - On Saturday, February 3, 2024, at approximately 3:06 PM, firefighters were dispatched to South Locust Lane in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, for a reported structure fire.
Firefighters from the Easton Volunteer Fire Department arrived and found a two-story, wood-framed, single-family dwelling on fire.
The owner of the property sustained a loss of approximately $150,000, between structural damage and loss of contents.
The home did have smoke alarms however they did not activate.
It took approximately 45 minutes for 40 firefighters to get this 2-alarm fire under control.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor and is still under investigation.
