Wicomico County, MD - The City of Salisbury is thrilled to welcome Sandy Green back as its new Director of Finance. Green returns to the role enthusiastically and is committed to ensuring efficient, effective customer service through sound fiscal management practices. Green boasts a rich professional history with the city, having served seven years as the Assistant Director of Finance before briefly departing to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer for Dorchester Public Schools.

Green boasts a rich professional history with the city, having served seven years as the Assistant Director of Finance before briefly departing to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer for Dorchester Public Schools. Before her tenure with the Salisbury Finance Department, she demonstrated her financial proficiency as the Assistant Director of Finance at Wor-Wic Community College for 16 years.
A proud alumnus of Salisbury University, Green holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Business Administration. She also maintains a Certified Public Accountant License. Born and bred in Dorchester County, her roots run deep in the Eastern Shore, where she has spent her lifetime.
Green's dedication extends beyond her professional life. A fan of poolside relaxation, beach visits, and island vacations, Green also enjoys entertaining family and friends. She currently resides in Vienna, Maryland, with her husband, Bobby. The couple has two sons, Dalton and Landon, and Green is a proud grandmother to two granddaughters, Marilynn and Mia, from her stepdaughter Jessica's marriage to Michael.
