SALISBURY UNIVERSITY'S SHIFLER SELECTED FOR LEADERSHIP MARYLAND EMERGING LEADER PROGRAM'S CLASS OF 2025

SALISBURY, MD - Congratulations are in order for Dr. Ryan Shifler, associate dean of Salisbury University's Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology, as he has been selected as one of the 36 distinguished members of the Leadership Maryland Emerging Leader Program's second class.
"We are thrilled to welcome this new class of Emerging Leaders," said David Fike '16 (LM), the president and CEO of Leadership Maryland. "Following the success of our first year in 2024, we are eager to build on this momentum with a group that showcases an engaging spectrum of ambitious and promising rising leaders. We believe that the knowledge, experience, and networks they acquire in our program will equip them to be more adaptive, impactful leaders in their career fields and communities."
The five-month program, running from June to November, will include a series of full-day sessions filled with hands-on training, guided by expert facilitators, and enriched by panel discussions featuring esteemed leaders from across the state.
The curriculum offers a comprehensive leadership development approach, aimed at increasing the self-awareness of each participant and equipping them with the behaviors, skills, and tools to be more inclusive, strategic, and effective leaders.
The Emerging Leader Program by Leadership Maryland is open to motivated individuals who are making strides in their careers, actively participating in their communities, and are driven to become more effective leaders.
The chosen members are eager to delve deeper into Maryland's most pressing challenges and are personally committed to effecting positive change within their organizations and communities, as well as the state. Leadership Maryland, established in 1992, is a standalone, educational, non-profit entity.
Its mission is to equip top executives, both public and private sector, with necessary knowledge on the paramount issues, challenges, and opportunities that Maryland and its regions are currently facing.
