SALISBURY SHED FIRE CAUSED BY ELECTRICAL FAILURE

Salisbury, MD - On July 2, 2024, firefighters were dispatched to the 4800 block of Meadowlark Drive in Salisbury, Maryland, for a shed fire.


The shed, measuring 8' x 12', caught fire and is believed to be as the result of an electrical system failure.


A quick response by the Salisbury Fire Department helped control the fire within 20 minutes of its discovery. The discovery was made by neighbors, who promptly alerted the Fire Department.


The intensity of the fire required 15 firefighters, who successfully contained the incident within the owner's premises, avoiding potential damage to neighboring properties.


The fire has resulted in a significant financial loss, with the destruction of the structure accounting for an estimated $8,000 and a loss of contents estimated at around $2,000.
