SALISBURY MAN SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES
Salisbury, MD - On December 8, 2023, Jason Suha, age 45, of Salisbury, Maryland, pleaded guilty to three (3) counts of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
The Honorable Matthew A. Maciarello, Associate Judge for the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, accepted the plea and subsequently sentenced Suha to twenty-three (23) years of incarceration, with all but four (4) years being suspended. The sentence imposed was within the Maryland Sentencing Guidelines.
Also pursuant to the plea agreement, two hundred thirty-two thousand six hundred two dollars ($232,602.00), a 2023 Toyota Highlander, a 2022 Lexus, and a 2017 Toyota Tundra were forfeited to Wicomico County.
On March 29, 2023, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office executed search and seizure warrants on several residences and vehicles associated with Suha.
Upon execution of the warrants, officers located and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of currency.
During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that Suha was importing controlled dangerous substances from California to Wicomico County for distribution.
Wicomico County State's Attorney (SA) Jamie L. Dykes specifically thanked the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for their diligent work in this investigation. SA Dykes also thanked Senior Assistant State's Attorney, Patrizia J. Coletta, who prosecuted this case.
