Salisbury, MD - A Salisbury man was arrested early on Friday morning for driving under the influence (DUI), among other traffic-related offenses. The Maryland State Police arrested 37-year-old Darryl D. Corbin after a traffic stop in Wicomico County, Maryland.

A Trooper from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack conducted a traffic stop on Corbin's Jeep Renegade, which was traveling westbound on Route 50 at East Lillian Street in Hebron, Maryland. The stop was initiated because Corbin was following too closely to the vehicle in front of him and committing other traffic violations.

During the traffic stop, the trooper observed multiple signs of impairment. Corbin was subsequently arrested on the scene without any incident. Additionally, an open alcoholic container. Twisted Tea, was later discovered in the vehicle and was still cold to the touch.

Corbin now faces charges of driving under the influence, reckless and negligent driving, along with other traffic-related violations. After his arrest, he was transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center and is currently being held without bond.

It should be noted that Corbin is currently awaiting trial for another DUI from January 2024, with the Fruitland Police Department. Corbin has in the past been charged several times with alcohol related traffic offenses and driving under the influence.

This arrest serves as a sobering reminder about the dangers of impaired driving. Driving under the influence endangers not only the driver's life but also the lives of others on the road.

The Maryland State Police remain committed to keeping the roads safe for all motorists and will continue their efforts to reduce and prevent drunk driving incidents.
