SALISBURY MAN (STEPHEN SPEIGHT) ARRESTED FOR HIS SIXTH DUI
Seaford, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested 53-year-old Stephen Speight of Salisbury, Maryland, for felony DUI following a traffic stop that occurred in Seaford earlier this morning.On June 19, 2023, at approximately 2:56 a.m., a trooper on patrol observed a gray Toyota Corolla traveling north on Sussex Highway approaching Brickyard Road. The trooper saw the car swerving and crossing the lane lines on the roadway, and he stopped the Corolla as it pulled into the parking lot of Royal Farms, located at 8800 Concord Road.The trooper spoke with the driver and only occupant, identified as Stephen Speight. The trooper could smell alcohol coming from Speight's breath. The trooper detected signs of impairment with Speight, and Speight was subsequently arrested for DUI.Speight, who has five previous convictions for DUI, was taken to Troop 5 and charged with his Sixth DUI Offense, which is a felony, along with multiple other traffic offenses.
