SALISBURY HOUSE FIRE CAUSES APPROXIMATELY $160K IN DAMAGE

Wicomico County, MD - A three-story, wood frame, single-family dwelling located in the 500 block of North Division Street in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, was severely damaged by a structure fire on January 4, 2025.

Fortunately, the home was not occupied during the fire, as it was undergoing renovations.

The Salisbury Fire Department responded to the house fire, successfully controlling the fire within a mere 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the fire was estimated to have caused a substantial $130,000 in damage to the structure of the house, with an additional $30,000 worth of contents also lost to the fire.

As informed by a passer-by who discovered the blaze, the fire originated on the first floor of the home, specifically in the kitchen area. However, the definitive cause of the fire remains under investigation.
