POLE BARN AND CONTENTS DESTROYED IN THURSDAY FIRE IN CAROLINE COUNTY

Caroline County, MD - A fire incident was reported on September 12, 2024, at 5:23 P.M. in the 14000 block of Drapers Mill Road in Greensboro, Caroline County, Maryland. The property, a one-story pole barn, sustained significant damage in the fire.


The fire led to an estimated loss of $80,000 in structural damage and $100,000 worth of contents. The owner, who was also the one who discovered the fire, suffered minor burns but declined medical treatment.


The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department was the primary responding team, and a total of 60 firefighters were involved in the operation. It took them approximately 60 minutes to bring the fire under control.
