PASCO ALLEN JR CONVICTED AND SENTENCED FOR DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Worcester County, MD - Pasco L. Allen Jr., age 75, was recently convicted for the distribution of child pornography on April 4, 2024. As a result, Allen was sentenced to a 5-year term by Judge Brian D. Shockley, Worcester County. The court suspended all but one year of the sentence.
Upon his release, Allen will face three years of supervised probation and the requirement to register as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years. He is also required to submit a DNA sample.
The case originated from a tip by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to the Maryland State Police. The tip included evidence of Allen's possession of child pornography. The information led investigators to Allen's residence.
Using a warrant, state police seized Allen's cell phone in August 2023. Data extracted from the device by Digital Forensics Examiners revealed that Allen sent an image of child pornography to someone via Facebook in June 2023. This led to Allen's charges for knowingly distributing child pornography and associated offenses.
County State's Attorney Kris Heiser praised the efforts of NCMEC, the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and Sgt. Pruitt of the Maryland State Police for their dedicated work in bringing online offenders to justice. Heiser also expressed gratitude to ASA Mary-Ann Burkhart, the prosecutor of the case.
