Salisbury, MD - On February 22, 2025, a seemingly ordinary evening turned alarming when an unsettling incident occurred at a private party in the 100 block of Onley Road in Salisbury, Maryland.
According to the residents hosting a party, a group of uninvited guests arrived and behaved in a way that raised suspicion among the attendees.
Two individuals from this group were spotted and suspected of possessing handguns. As the situation escalated, the hosts requested that the unwanted visitors leave the premises.
In what appeared to be an aggressive response, two of the departing suspects threatened to return and harm the partygoers.
The details of the suspects and their vehicle were relayed to local law enforcement officers patrolling the area. Not long after, the suspected vehicle was located, and its occupants were taken into custody.
The two primary suspects were identified as Leon Lofland IV and Nathaniel Hornsby, both believed to be involved in the potential threat at the party.
During further investigation, police discovered that Lofland was in possession of a Glock Model 45 handgun with an extended magazine, which had been reported stolen from the Hampton, Virginia, area.
Hornsby was found with a Glock Model 25 handgun, also equipped with an extended magazine. Neither Lofland nor Hornsby possessed a valid permit for carrying firearms, and Hornsby was additionally prohibited from doing so due to his age.
As a result, both suspects were arrested on charges of illegal possession of firearms and taken to the Wicomico County Detention Center. They are scheduled to appear before a District Court Commissioner in the coming days.
Additionally, a 15-year-old male juvenile found in the car with Lofland and Hornsby was charged with the illegal possession of marijuana.
