PARENTS CHARGED WITH SIX COUNTS OF RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT FOLLOWING CONNECTION TO DRUG ACTIVITY

Caroline County, MD-A recent incident unfolded in Caroline County, and as a result, the Caroline County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Social Services, Child Welfare Unit conducted a joint investigation.


During their investigation, authorities discovered that Joshua Murphy and Dawn Brickey, parents to two minor children, were engaged in illegal narcotics activities. This alarming information was gathered from three separate incidents that the two individuals were involved in.


These two individuals are the lone caretakers for their children and upon completion of the investigation by the Department of Social Services, both individuals were charged with neglecting their minor children due to their activities.


Following the revelation of these shocking findings, Murphy and Brickey were served with arrest warrants from the Caroline County District Court. They were charged with six counts of reckless endangerment each.


Murphy, after appearing before the court, was sent to the Caroline County Detention Center without bond. Meanwhile, Brickey was released on personal recognizance and is awaiting trial.
