OCEAN PINES POLICE ARREST MAN FOR VIOLATING PROTECTIVE ORDER AND SPITTING IN THE FACE OF WORCESTER COUNTY DEPUTY
Ocean Pines, MD - The Ocean Pines Police Department recently arrested Danny Musser for violating a protective order and assaulting a law enforcement officer. The incident occurred on the night of June 24, 2024, when an officer responded to a call at an Ocean Pines residence at approximately 10:13 PM.
Upon arriving, the officer located the suspect, Musser, in the garage of the residence, which clearly violates an order served by the same Ocean Pines officer just three hours prior.
This order explicitly barred Musser from the property. Upon discovering this, the officer proceeded to arrest Musser for violating the protective order.
The situation took a turn for the worse during the arrest process. Musser committed an outright assault on a Worcester County Sheriff's Deputy who had arrived on the scene to assist in the arrest by spitting in the face of the deputy.
Musser was transported to the Ocean Pines Police Department, where he was charged and processed for his outrageous behavior. After an initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner, Musser was released from commitment after he posted his bond.
Musser is now facing the following charges: Violation of a Protective Order and Second Degree Assault.
