OCEAN PINES POLICE ARREST MAN FOR ASSAULT AND MDOP
Ocean Pines, MD - On August 29, 2024, officers from the Ocean Pines Police Department were dispatched to Newport Drive in response to a reported altercation. The officers at the scene quickly identified the aggressor as Joseph Pavese.
Investigations revealed that Pavese was damaging property and had physically assaulted a witness at the scene. It was reported that he had used a screwdriver to damage the tire of a vehicle belonging to his neighbor.
The neighbor, who was inside his house at the time of the incident, was an eyewitness to Pavese's actions and promptly alerted the police.
In a further twist, Pavese reportedly approached the neighbor and physically assaulted him after he stepped out of his home. The property damage and subsequent attack appear to have been carried out without provocation.
Following the investigative procedures, the police arrested Pavese. He was then transported to the Ocean Pines Police Department for processing.
Later, he was presented before the District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. The outcome of this appearance resulted in Pavese's detention at the Worcester County Detention Center, where he remained without bond.
