OCEAN CITY POLICE COLLECTING TOYS TO BENEFIT WORCESTER COUNTY GOLD
Ocean City, MD - The holiday season is quickly approaching, and the Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) has begun collecting new, unwrapped toys for its Annual Holiday Toy Drive.
This year, all toy donations will benefit Worcester County GOLD, a non-profit organization that has been a beacon of hope for our community. The Ocean City Police Department is proud to continue this partnership for the ninth year, a testament to our commitment to supporting those in need.
All toys will be provided to Worcester County GOLD as part of their "Helping Hands for the Holidays" program, which aims to bring joy and relief to families in need during the holiday season. Each year, Worcester County GOLD has been able to provide holiday gifts to over 500 individuals in need.
Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in someone's life this holiday season. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the Public Safety Building, located at 6501 Coastal Highway.
Worcester GOLD requests that all toys be valued at $40 or less and not include jewelry, bicycles, electronics, video games, or toy weapons. GOLD's holiday program provides gifts for older children. While toys are in high demand, they suggest considering teen gifts, like clothing, shoes, headphones, or room decorations.
All monetary donations and contributions should be directed to Worcester County GOLD and mailed to Worcester County GOLD, PO BOX 335, Snow Hill, MD 21863 (Please put HHH on the memo line). Worcester GOLD can also accept monetary donations on their website, www.worcestergold.org/helping-hands-holidays/.
Holiday event organizers wishing to partner with the OCPD Holiday Toy Drive are encouraged to contact Deputy Communications Manager Ashley Miller at 410-520-5395. Your partnership can help us reach more families in need this holiday season.
The deadline for all toy donations is Wednesday, December 11th. This will allow us to get the toys to Worcester County GOLD by their deadline.
