MULTIPLE FIRE DEPARTMENTS BATTLE SATURDAY FIRE IN STEVENSVILLE

On Saturday, January 25th, at approximately 3:53 PM Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department sought the assistance of Station 2 in putting out a fire in the 700 Block of Victoria Drive in Stevensville, Maryland.
The Preston Volunteer Fire Company's Engine 204, which was en route to Grasonville for their Installation of Officers Banquet, immediately diverted its course to lend additional support.
The team of brave firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames that had started from a wood stove and had spread into the walls of the house.
Their precision and efficient execution of extinguishment and overhaul procedures greatly aided in preventing further damage to the residence.
The joint effort of both Grasonville and Preston crews lasted approximately an hour before they had the situation under control, and were able to return to their respective bases.
