MULBERRY LANDING BOAT RAMP RE-OPENS FOLLOWING EXPANSION AND RENOVATIONS
Frankford, DE - Residents and visitors are celebrating the reopening of the Mulberry Landing Boat Ramp, situated in the picturesque Assawoman Wildlife Area near Bethany Beach.
Following extensive renovations, the boat ramp is now available for public access, marking a new chapter of convenience and ecological conservation in the area.
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) led the renovation, enhancing the facility with an expanded and fully paved parking lot.
The project, initiated in early March, was designed to improve functionality and ensure better use of space.
Boating enthusiasts can now take advantage of 23 dedicated trailer parking spaces and an additional seven car parking spaces, a substantial increase from its previous capacity. The notable upgrade facilitates convenient parking and access to the ramp, fostering an environment that encourages more visitors to experience the natural beauty of the Assawoman Wildlife Area.
The DNREC's Fisheries Division spearheaded the project, underscoring the department's continued commitment to enhancing outdoor recreational facilities for the public while maintaining harmony with the environment.
