MONDAY NIGHT CARJACKING BEING INVESTIGATED BY CAMBRIDGE POLICE

Dorchester County, MD - On May 13, 2024, at approximately 10:18 PM, Cambridge Police Officers received a report of an armed carjacking and robbery in the 400 block of Skinners Court in Cambridge, MD. The victim reported offering a ride to a woman he met at the 400 block of Willis St, following her request to be dropped off at Skinners Court.

After dropping the woman off, she walked to the side of a house. Shortly afterward, three to four suspects, described by the victim as black males dressed in dark clothing and masks appeared from the side of the house. It was reported that three of the men were armed with handguns. 

The group approached the victim and robbed him of his personal belongings before one of the suspects took the victim's vehicle. The rest of the suspects fled on foot towards Greenwood Ave.

Thanks to its OnStar tracking system, the abandoned vehicle was later found in the 400 block of Camper St. A K9 unit from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office was deployed, leading the officers to the 400 block of Willis St, where some of the victim's stolen items were recovered.

The Cambridge Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. They are appealing to the community for information that could help the investigation.
