MILFORD POLICE MAKE ARREST FOLLOWING DRUG INVESTIGATION AND SEARCH WARRANT

Milford, DE - In the fight against narcotics, the Milford Police Department took a significant step towards cleaning the city streets, ending weeks of meticulous investigation. The Department's Drug Unit arrested a man for possessing a quantity of narcotics in Milford, DE. The incident unfolded on February 5, 2025, as per the official press release.
The man identified as Taevon Potts, a 29-year-old resident of Milford, Delaware, was taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant at a premise on NW 4th St. The operation was led by detectives from the Drug Unit with support from the Special Operations Group (S.O.G.) and K9 Unit of the Milford Police Department.
The operation was successful in seizing 12.3 grams of suspected heroin, which is believed to be equivalent to 410 dosages. This large quantity underlines the significance of the bust and the potential danger averted by the timely intervention by the law enforcement agencies.
Potts faces serious charges for his alleged involvement in the manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity and was also charged with possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity.
Potts was taken to the Justice of the Peace Court 2, where he was committed to the Department of Correction and was given a cash bond amounting to $50,000.
