MARYLAND STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN FATAL OCTOBER SHOOTING IN WICOMICO COUNTY
Salisbury, MD - A 20-year-old resident of Princess Anne, Jermaine Wilson, has been charged by the Maryland State Police in connection to a deadly shooting that took place in Wicomico County last October.
Currently detained at the Caroline County Detention Center, Wilson is facing multiple charges, including first and second-degree murder, as well as attempted murder in both 1st and 2nd degrees. Additional criminal charges linked to the fatal incident have also been imposed against him.
The incident transpired at around 7:30 p.m. on October 28, 2024, when law enforcement officers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the 800 block of West Road in Salisbury, Maryland, following reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, the troopers discovered 32-year-old Tevin Mumford, a resident of Salisbury, Maryland. Mr. Mumford was immediately rushed to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional by EMS, where he was later passed as a result of the shooting.
The investigators also ascertained that a second victim, Ekoye Emmanuel Spates, 33 years old from Salisbury, was involved in the shooting as well. Spates received medical attention for his non-life threatening injuries at the Christiana Hospital in Delaware.
