MARYLAND STATE POLICE IS INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING IN CRISFIELD THAT LEFT ONE PERSON DEAD

Crisfield, MD - On February 15, 2025, at approximately 1:15 AM, local law enforcement was dispatched to the intersection of Third Street and Cove Street in Crisfield, Somerset County, Maryland, in response to a reported shooting that resulted in one person passing away as a result of the shooting.


Officers received reports of gunfire and were immediately dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim, identified as Keyon Demetrius Honesty, a 43-year-old resident of Princess Anne, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds.


Honesty was transported to the TidalHealth McCready Pavilion Hospital, where despite the medical team's best efforts, he was pronounced dead.


The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, with support from various local law enforcement agencies, including the Maryland State Police (Princess Anne Barrack), Somerset County Sheriff's Office, Princess Anne Police Department, Pocomoke City Police Department, and the Somerset County State's Attorney's Office.


Meanwhile, Maryland State Police crime scene technicians are thoroughly processing the area where the shooting occurred.


Law enforcement is currently seeking home-security footage from residences in the nearby Somers Cove area, specifically from 1:10 AM to 1:35 AM, hoping that this footage will provide crucial insights into the incident and help hold those responsible accountable.
