MARYLAND STATE POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT OF ASSAULT IN SOMERSET COUNTY

Somerset County, MD - The Maryland State Police are actively searching for a suspect in connection with a first-degree assault that took place overnight in Somerset County, Maryland.

The suspect is identified as Garland Edward Parks, a 58-year-old resident of Rumbly, Maryland. An arrest warrant has been issued for Parks as a result of the assault.

Parks is described as a white male, standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He's commonly known by the nickname "Fast Eddie."

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack responded to an assault at a residence on Rehobeth Road. The victim, who is currently being unidentified, was held at knifepoint and suffered injuries as a result of the assault.

During the investigation that followed, "Fast Eddie" Parks was identified as the suspect. 

The Maryland State Police are asking for public support in locating Parks. They urge anyone with information on Parks' whereabouts to contact the Princess Anne Barrack at 443-260-3700. Callers may remain anonymous.
